Qualifications: Registered SLT (qualified Edinburgh, UK: Dip RCSLT); BA in Psychology, Teaching Certificate in Education and Masters in Applied Social Research
Clinical experience, research and teaching: Worked as senior speech and language therapist in Acute and Rehabilitation services in Hospitals, Community clinics and Special schools in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Current teaching in University: special education; developmental language disorders; clinical education in practice; research supervision.
Other relevant posts held: Formerly member of Council RCSLT with portfolio of responsibility for Education and Research plus International and Advanced Studies committee.
Currently Visitor for Validation/Accreditation of SLT and other health professions’ education programmes and Investigating Panel member for the UK regulatory body, Health Professions Council.
